More choices make us ill. Paradox of Mindset.

Inspired by Mr. Barry Schwartz talk during TED 2005.

This American Psychologist give evidences on mankind faces tremendous-mass choices that are given to us in a daily basis. Taking time, energy to make what is best for ourselves.

How much we want to be happy should be define by how much freedom should we acquired. The more freedoms we have, the more happy we would think.  But the consequences of massive freedom as in freedom of choices, will only get us into bigger problems; which is making the right decisions. We questions every details of decisions, and we plot the consequences on a bigger picture to get the right product. This process will overload us, and in an unfortunate event, we end it by making bad decision for over thinking it too much.

I sincerely believed that too much of something is bad. It comes a point where too much something give us too much responsibilities. In general most of us don’t like that huge responsibilities. It’s a lot of thinking, more energy is given out -  in tiny space. Its just painful.

When we hold that big responsibilities, and it inward pain to ourselves in someway, and we tend to give pain to your environment. We come across with people who blame and argue on people (our own society) mindset. They put reasons of their “mindset” in context to their argument. They feel that the people are wrong, its just wrong. By saying that, they think they  accomplished a new dimension of enlightenment. If you are big powerful men, its seems that you have the power and the acknowledgement of having the right to say anything and make decision for any forms. It’s freedom. If the freedom is a gift then part of the responsibility to use it is making a wise decision. But then why did people with that responsibilities tend to make a bad judgement on their assets. Well at least try to appreciates and respect people mindset before creating a mass insult to its own society. “How are you not same like us in term of mindset?” “We grew together with the same Education.” “Seriously, I have a better way than your way. Insulting and preaching our own kind of mindset is very low and bias.” “Are your enlightening us, or insulting us?” “Who are you again? So?

When it comes with mindset is, don’t create bias if you are part of it too. Whole lot decisions can make paralysis on decisions. The past spoken decisions make us clinical depression someday. The label you put on a culture limits the excuses for you to make choices for us. After all your judgement was plain poor and your too shy to admit it. The best way to make changes is by giving example and teaching the right and nice way.. Don’t teach by insult. Insult promises you hell.
